Earthquake in Wyomissing, PA today measures 1.3: USGS

April 9, 2020: A small earthquake of magnitude 1.3 has been recorded in Wyomissing, Pennsylvania today, the United States Geological Survey (USGS) confirmed.

According to the USGS, the earthquake in Wyomissing today occurred at 5 km depth. The epicenter was located 3.5 km ENE of Reading and 78.1 km W of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

The tremor was well felt by the people of Wyomissing and Reading, Pennsylvania.

According to the USGS, people in the Lancaster seismic zone of southeastern Pennsylvania have felt small earthquakes and suffered damage from larger ones.
