January 11, 2020: Magnitude 4.8 moderate earthquake has rattled Istanbul and the Marmara region today at 04:37 pm local time, Boğaziçi University Kandilli Observatory and Earthquake Research Institute reported.
According to the Kandilli Observatory and Earthquake Research Institute,the earthquake's epicenter was located 63 km far from İstanbul, Turkey. The earthquake occurred at 16 km depth.
Istanbul Mayor Ekrem Imamoğlu confirmed via Twitter that there are no damage from this earthquake.
