Flooding in central Vietnam kills 13

December 3, 2016: At least 13 people have died in flood disaster brought by torrential rain since late November this year, the government and state media said on Sunday.

Six people died in floods in Binh Dinh provinces. Four others died in Quang Ngai province.

Three children aged between four and 13 were swept away in flood waters in Quang Nam province on Saturday, Reuters reported quoting the Thanh Nien (Young People) newspaper

At least 65 people have died since October in central provinces of Vietnam. Recent floods have submerged around 200,000 homes and damaged railway and roads, with losses valued at more than 7 trillion dong ($309 million), the government said on Friday.
