November 15, 2016: Recent flooding in five sub-districts in Karawang, West Java of Indonesia have affected nearly 20,000 people, the National Disaster Mitigation Agency reported on Monday evening.
The flood affected at least 19,669 people prompting the evacuation of around 6,373 people.
The worst-hit area, Tanjungpura village, has more than 1500 houses inundated with floodwater.
According to the Disaster Mitigation Agency, floods have submerged 5,776 homes, four school buildings, 12 mosques and 133 hectares of paddy fields.
