At least 59 people have been killed in rain-related incidents such as flooding and lightning in different Indian States.
Flooding in Assam killed 27 people. Around 400 relief camps and 102 highland shelters have been made in Assam, The Times of India reported.
Three people died and two went missing as flood waters submerged the West Garo Hills district in Meghalaya. Two minor girls were swept away by the waters of Burhidangi river in Kishanganj district in Bihar.
Lightning strikes in Odisha killed 27 people including eight deaths in Bhadrak, seven in Balasore, five in Khurda, three in Mayurbhanj and one each in Kendrapara, Jajpur, Keonjhar and Nayagarh.
