Mount Sinabung volcanic eruption in North Sumatra has claimed lives of seven people and critically injured three other on Saturday.
All were residents of Gamber village of Karo regency in North Sumatra which was kept under red zone, The Jakarta Post reported.
According to Sutopo Purwo Nugroho, National Disaster Mitigation Agency ( BNPB ) spokesman, injured people are having treatment at Efarina Etaham hospital in Kebanjehe, Karo regency.
Mount Sinabung spewed clouds of volcanic ash 3km (2 miles) into the sky.
