A fresh earthquake of magnitude 4.3 has been recorded in Bajhang district of Nepal on April 4, 2016 at 09:40 am.
According to Nepal Seismological Center, the quake's epicenter was located near Mount Saipal in northwestern region.
No damages are expected as the epicenter area is in remote mountainous region, far from the residential areas.
This is the fresh earthquake, not an aftershock of Gorkha earthquake, Seismological Center confirmed. At least 445 aftershocks of magnitude 4 and greater have rattled Nepal since April 2015 Gorkha earthquake.
At least two tremors have been recorded in Nepal in less than two hours. Magnitude 4.7 moderate aftershock has also been recorded in Dolakha district. Earlier, magnitude 4.4 light earthquake was recorded in the neighbouring Humla district on March 7, 2016.
