Magnitude 3.0 light earthquake hit Meghalaya at 07:49 am Monday morning, India Meteorological Department reported.
According to IMD, the epicenter was located near Jaintia Hills at 6.2 miles depth.
It is a 'slight' intensity earthquake. No major damage or injuries are expected.
