Massive flood in Deweyville, Texas — Sabine River breaks 130 yrs record

Massive flooding have occurred in Deweyville, Texas with Sabine river breaking the highest river level set over 130 years ago, The Weather Channel reported.

Mandatory evacuations have been issued in Deweyville after a week of heavy downpour. At least 400 homes have been flooded in Newton County.

More than 18 inches of rainfall have occurred in Deweyville over five days causing the river to rise to 32 feet. Sabine river is expected to be above 35 feet and break the old record by three feet.

Around 5,000 homes in Louisiana have been damaged by flooding, the Associated Press reported quoting Emergency officials.
