Storm brings flooding in Texas: Six killed, 2 remains missing

Flooding triggered by heavy storm and rainfall has claimed lives of at least six people and left two other missing in Texas.

According to the Associated Press, Houston police discovered two bodies believed to be weather-related deaths. Another body was found in Camp Bullis, a U.S. Army training camp. The official said the individual was a contract exmployee whose vehicle was washed down stream.

Two people have been missing from earlier flash floods in the Austin area.

Severe weather caused cancellation of 46 flights at Houston George Bush Intercontinental Airport on Saturday.

Travis County Emergency Management has issued a Regional Notification System (RNS) message to residents of the Citation Circle neighborhood Saturday, notifying them to evacuate to higher ground. 

At least six tornadoes have been reported south and east of Houston on Saturday morning, the National Weather Service confirmed. 

A tornado south of Houston in Brazoria County damaged at least 25 trailer homes near the town of Alvin on early Saturday.
