Super Typhoon Soudelor hammered the island of Saipan in the Western Pacific ocean leaving trails of widespread damage.
According to AccuWeather, Typhoon Soudelor hit Saipan with the intensity of a Category 2 hurricane on Sunday night with winds higher than 90 miles per hour.

Damage assessment continues and according to preliminary reports, more than 600 homes on Saipan have been affected, the Red Cross said in a press release issued on August 6, 2015.
"Most of the island is without power. Sewer and water facilities, along with fuel stations are also damaged," the Red Cross press release has mentioned. The Red Cross is working with corporate and government partners to get relief supplies to Saipan.
President Obama declared the Northern Mariana Island, including Saipan, under a State of Disaster on Thursday.
Soudelor has became the strongest tropical cyclone of 2015.
