At least two tremors rattled Kathmandu on Tuesday August 11, 2015, Nepal Seismological Center (NSC) reported.
At 04:20 am, magnitude 3.7 aftershock hit Kirtipur-Panga area. Another aftershock of magnitude 4.3 was recorded in Kalimati area at 10:42 am. The epicenter was located near Department of Foreign Employment, in Kalimati area of Kathmandu.
The earthquake created panic among the school students. There are unconfirmed reports of minor injuries to students in schools of valley while running out of their classroom into the open space.
Most of the schools of Kalimati area declared holiday for Tuesday after the tremor.
Yesterday, moderate aftershock of magnitude 4.9 rattled Gorkha at 04:15 am. The epicenter was located near Baluwa. Another, magnitude 4.0 earthquake shook Humla the same day.
According to NSC, at least 375 aftershocks of local magnitude 4.0 or greater have followed the devastating earthquake of April 25, 2015.
No major damage or injuries have been reported.
