Yellowstone volcano 2015 eruption: USGS recent report shows 62 earthquakes

The latest update of the Yellowstone volcano by the United States Geological Survey (USGS) has shown total 62 registered earthquakes in the Yellowstone National Park region in April 2015.

The largest event was a small earthquake of magnitude 2.2 on April 26, at 10:03 PM MDT, located about 5 miles northeast of Lake, WY.

No earthquake swarm activity was present during April.

There were total 56 registered earthquakes in March 2015 in the Yellowstone National Park region. The alert level of  Yellowstone volcano is “normal” and current aviation color code is “green.”

Yellowstone National Park is the world's first national park located in the United States.
