Severe weather warning issued for Tasmania, Australia

A severe weather warning has been issued for Tasmania as the parts of northern and central areas are forecast winds of up to 130km/h, heavy rain and snow.

According to Special Broadcasting Service (SBS),  meteorology company UBIMET has issued its highest category of warning on Tuesday.

A flood watch has been issued for all northern, western and southern rivers, Weatherzone reported.

A wind gust of 76kph has already been recorded in Hobart but condition is forecast to be their worst between 3:00 pm and 10:00 pm.

The Bureau of Meteorology expects tides to be 40-50 centimetres above normal levels with high tide expected to hit between 7:30 pm and 8:30 pm.
