Magnitude 4.0 earthquake hit Venus, Texas today, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.
According
to the U.S. Geological Survey, the quake's epicenter was located 5 km (3mi) NNW of Venus. It was 2.0 miles
deep.
This is the largest earthquake to strike North Texas, USGS confirmed. Dallas and Irving haven’t experience a quake larger than magnitude 3.6, The Dallas Morning News reported.
According to Johnson County Emergency Management, atleast two homes have been minor foundation issues around Alvarado.
