Major earthquakes hit Dolakha/Sindhupalchowk border region today

At least 56 people have died in different parts of Nepal. Highest fatalities have been reported from Dolakha. At least 33 people have been reported died in Dolakha alone as of 07:00 pm.

In Sindhupalchowk, at least nine people died. Similarly, three died in Ramechhap, two in Sindhuli. At least five people died in Kathmandu valley.

One each died in Dhanusha, Rautahat, Sarlahi and Gorkha.

According to Home Ministry, at least 1,100 people injured in today's quake. Nepal Seismological has reported at least nine major earthquakes today.

At least four earthquakes rattled Nepal within two hours.

According to Nepal Seismological Center, magnitude 6.8 earthquake hit Dolakha/Sindhupalchowk border region at 12:50 pm local time. It was followed by magnitude 6.2 at 13:21 with epicenter in Dolakha.

Another moderate earthquake with magnitude 5.3 hit Sindhupalchowk at 01:58 pm. The latest earthquake was recorded in Sindhupalchowk at 02:44 pm with magnitude 5.3.

Nepal faced magnitude 7.8 deadly earthquake on April 25, 2015. Another major earthquake rattled Sindhupalchowk the next day. Multiple earthquakes have been recorded in Lamjung, Gorkha, Dhadhing, Sindhupalchowk and Dolakha after the major shock.
