More than 200 birds have been found dead in the hailstorm in Ahmedabad, Gujarat State of India.
Parrots, kites and crows were among the 217 birds which died or were found critically injured at Vasna barrage, in Paldi and other parts of new west zone, The Times of India reported.
"Even 60 years old citizens of Ahmedabad said that they had never witnessed such a massive hailstorm in their lifetime," Desh Gujarat has written.
Street dogs were also seen as worst sufferers as the icy water was too cold.
According to Tv9 Gujarati, In just two-and-half-hours, many areas in the rain-lashed city had literally become inaccessible for commuters.
Strong storm uprooted trees at different places, including Shyamal, Commerce Six-Roads, Dharnidhar, Indraprastha and Maninagar areas.
