10 killed in Albay, Philippines landslide; 200 rescued

The landslide triggered by heavy rains brought on by Tropical Storm "Amang" has claimed lives of at least 10 people. However, rescue teams have  saved at least 200 residents trapped by a landslide in Sitio Inang Maharang in Barangay Nagotgot, Manito, Albay. 

Two military helicopters from the Philippine Air Force Tactical Operations Group 5 based in Legazpi City were deployed to the area to assist in the search operation, Inquirer has written quoting the Albay Public Safety and Emergency Management Office (Apsemo).

Landslide washed away at least three houses in the area. The residents have been moved to a safer place and relief operations were immediately carried out, Emergency Management office added.
