Sankhuwasabha landslide kills 10

Death toll from Sankhuwasabha landslide has reached 10. Three people who had gone missing in the landslide at Syabun-3 of Sankhuwasabha district have been declared dead, eKantipur has written. 

A meeting of the District Natural Disaster Rescue Committee declared the missing as dead as there were no hopes of rescuing the missing ones alive.

Death toll from landslide in Sankhuwasabha, Nepal has risen to six. Body of 72-year-old Indra Bahadur, who had gone missing in the landslide, was found today, eKantipur reported.

Death toll from Sankhuwasabha landslide has risen to five. Still five people are reported to be missing. The district office has decided to provide Rs 40,000 per deceased to the respective families from the ´District Natural Calamities Fund´ as immediate relief, Republica Media Network mentioned.

A landslide in Sankhuwasabha district of Nepal has claimed lives of at least four people, The Himalayan Times has written quoting the National Emergency Operation Centre.

The landslide occurred at Fachayang, Syabun-3 of Sankhuwasabha around 1:00 am Tuesday morning.

According to the National Emergency Operation Centre, landslide swept away 10 members of three families.

Security personnel from Nepal Police, Nepal Army, and Armed Police Force have been deployed for the rescue operation.

Another massive landslide in Sidhupalchowk district of Nepal claimed lives of 23 and left more than 100 people missing two days ago.
