Shiveluch volcano eruption in Russia has spewed ash to a height of 6.2 km above sea level, The Voice of Russia reported quoting the Emergency Situations' Ministry department for Kamchatka territory.
Shiveluch has been assigned the orange aviation-related colour code, the second-highest danger for airliners by the Kamchatka Volcanic Eruption Response Team (KVERT).
No ash falls have been registered in nearby towns and Ust-Kamchatka district.
The Kamchatkan volcano Shiveluch has been periodically spewing ash from three to ten kilometers from May 2009.
Shiveluch is the northernmost hyperactive volcano in Kamchatka Krai, Russia. Klyuchi is the nearest settlement from the volcano located 50 km far.
