Lahore flood kills 8, injures 6

Landslides and flooding caused by torrential rains have claimed lives of at least eight people and injured six, Pakistan based The Nation reported.

Injured people are having treatment at District Headquarters hospital (DHQ).

Landslide buried a house in Sangpura at Swala Showk. Four persons were buried under debris.

Rainfall also collapsed roof of a house in the area of Karak at Bannu.

Flash flooding have been reported in Mughalpura, aji Camp, Empress Road and Qaddhafi Stadium.

Flood emergency was declared in June 2013. According to the emergency management officials, Lahore flood claimed at least four lives.

Flooding is the most devastating natural calamities in Pakistan.
