Torrential rain hits Bulgarian city of Ruse

Torrential rain and thunderstorms have hit Ruse, Bulgarian National Radio reported.

Dozen of cars were stranded in the flood waters. Rain continued for nearly two hours.

No flood damage or injury has been reported.

The Danube River which has already caused flooding in Slovakia is expected to come to Bulgaria and Romania on June 14.

European Commission disasters center has 30 teams for flood management and assistance, Bulgaria's EU Commissioner for International Cooperation, Humanitarian Aid and Crisis Response, Kristalina Georgieva said.
