High risk of severe weather

Northern Illinois, Northern Indiana and Extreme Northwest Ohio have been upgraded to a High Risk for severe storms.
 
The National Weather Service has also predicted a 15 percent possibility of tornadoes in the area and may soon batter Chicago.

This is the first High Risk issued by the Storm Prediction Center in 2013. There are only a few of these issued across country per year. Last time Northern Illinois had a HIGH risk of severe weather in May 2004.
