A flood emergency has been declared in seven regions of Czech Republic, where flooding has claimed lives of at least two people, Xinhua reported.
Following Czech Prime Minister Petr Necas, government would release about 15 million U.S. dollars for flood relief efforts. Around 300 soldiers are currently working in flood damage zone and involved in rescue and flood cleanup.
Flood emergency came after flood claimed two lives and washed away four others. Four people are still reported to be missing.
Around 1,000 animals from Prague Zoo have been moved to higher ground after the Vltava river burst its banks.
Recent floods have greatly affected Germany, the Czech Republic and Switzerland too. Flooding and landslides in Austria claimed lives of two people yesterday.
