Flash floods in Noakhali, Bangladesh affect 25,000


At least 25,000 Bengalis have been affected by the flash floods in Hatiya, Subarnachar and Companiganj upazilas of Noakhali, Dhaka Tribune reported.

Tidal surge and torrential rains have been hitting Noakhali region since Wednesday.

Flash flood has also washed away 11,500 hectares of paddy.

Met office has forecast more heavy rainfall in Chittagong and Barisal areas Friday.
