5.6 very strong earthquake hits Philippines

Earthquake in North Cotabato province of Philippines has injured at least 33 people and damaged more than 140 houses.

M 5.6 strong earthquake hits Philippines today, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the quake's epicenter was located just 5 km ENE of Carmen. It was 9.9 miles deep.

Shaking Intensity (MMI)
VII (Very strong): Pedtad, Carmen and Banawa.
VI (Strong): Malapag, Limbalod and Kabacan.
IV (Light): Cotabato, Davao, Koronadal and Cagayan de Oro.
III (Weak): Butuan.

24 km (15mi) WNW of President Roxas, Philippines
