Flash flooding in Kathmandu has swept away at least two houses, Nepal based EKantipur reported.
Nepal Armies were mobilized in Kalikasthan and Baneshwor areas after two houses swept away by floods in Baneshwor.
Around 71 Army personnel were deployed to control the situation.
Heavy rainfall also closed Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA), Nepal's only one international airport, for an hour. At least three international flights were diverted due to poor visibility.
Following Nepal Meteorological Forecasting Division, around 41.6 mm of rainfall was recorded within three hours in Kathmandu.

Beside Kathmandu several other eastern and central region of Nepal also received rainfall including Taplejung, Dhankuta and Dharan.
