Earthquake Idaho today shakes the border area

M 3.6 light shallow earthquake shakes SE Idaho, western Wyoming today, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the quake's epicenter was located 23km WNW of Afton. It was 3.0 miles deep.

Following USGS PAGER MAP, light to weak tremor was felt in Afton, Soda Springs, Montpelier, Hoback, Rafter J Ranch, Paris, Idaho Falls, Logan, Rexburg, Chubbuck and Pocatello (Idaho).

Earthquake occurred on the Idaho side of the Idaho-Wyoming border.

The Borah Peak earthquake (1983) is the largest ever recorded earthquake in Idaho. Magnitude 7.3 Idaho earthquake claimed two lives and caused $12.5 million in damage in the Challis-Mackay area.

M 4.2 light earthquake shook Southern Idaho two weeks ago.

No immediate damage or injury has been reported from earthquake in Idaho today.
