Tremor felt in Mexico City and Ixtapa

M 5.2 moderate earthquake shakes Mexico City and Ixtapa today, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the quake's epicenter was located 70 km far from Ixtapa. It was 33.3 miles deep.

Tremor was even felt in capital Mexico City located about 290 km far from epicenter.

Several people rushed out from their building in Ixtapa. Some people from Ixtapa are reporting minor cracks in their walls but it is yet to be officially confirmed.

The 1985 Mexico City earthquake claimed lives of 10,000 plus. Earthquake also produced Tsunami.
