  -Lightning strikes in Nigeria has killed a student of Muslim College, Oworonsoki.

• M 5.8 strong earthquake in Batan Islands Region, Philippines (@ 4 km depth) with epicenter located 29 km ENE of Itbayat. Light shaking of MMI IV will have felt by the people of Basco, Mahatao, Itbayat, Ivana, Uyugan and Sabtang. People of Kaohsiung, Taitung City, Tainan, Laoag and Ma-kung will have weak shaking of MMI III.

People of Arizona, San Antonio, Atenas de San Cristobal, La Masica and Santa Ana will have felt moderate shaking of MMI V.
