Natural Disaster: Avalanche in Canada's Glacier National Park claims 1

An avalanche in Canada's Glacier National Park near Revelstoke has claimed life of one skier.

Group of three skier were in a trek in Revelstoke in British Columbia. Two others managed to escape the disaster.

Canadian Avalanche Centre has rated this avalanche 2.5 (from 1 to 5).

Two days ago, an avalanche buried a snowmobiler in Hellroaring Creek, west of Kimberley, B.C.

Earlier reports have shown that about 13 people die of natural disaster avalanches each year in B.C and Alberta.
