- Flooding across Pakistan
-Rain, snow and floods have taken life of 18 Pakistanis. Six people were washed away in floods in Haripur and three in an avalanche disaster in Shangla. Several others were also affected when buildings collapsed in Hafizabad and Swabi.
-Rains also collapsed several mud houses.
-Several Flights at the Islamabad and Karachi airports have been cancelled because of bad weather. More rainfall is forecast until Wednesday.
-Flash floods in Punjab, Pakistan washed away 17 in September 2012.

- M 5.1 moderate earthquake in Santa Cruz Islands Region (@ 46 km depth) with epicenter located 92 km W of Lata. Weak shaking of MMI II-III will have felt by the people of Lata and Honiara (Solomon Islands).

- M 4.4 light earthquake in Antofagasta, Chile (@ 84 km depth) with epicenter located 23 km S of Calama. Just a weak shaking of MMI II-III will have felt by the people of Calama.
17:30 UTC (local time Tuesday, February 05, 2013 at 02:30 PM @ epicenter) - M 2.5 weak shallow earthquake in Northern California (@ 3 km depth) with epicenter located just 6 km SSW from Gilroy. It will have well felt by the people of Sunnyvale, Aromas, San Martin, Hollister, San Jose City Hall, Morgan Hill and Gilroy.

-Heavy rainfall caused flooding in Jozi of South Africa.
-Heavy rain also flooded Siemert and Carr roads, in Doornfontein, Johannesburg, South Africa.
-Floods in Eastern Cape, South Africa killed 8 people in October 2012.
