- M 4.0 light shallow earthquake in Pyreness (@ 5 km depth) with epicenter located 1 km N Montaut. It will have well felt by the people of Haute and Lourdes (France).
23:26 UTC (local time 00:26; 2013/01/06 @ epicenter) - M 4.8 moderate earthquake in Western Xizang (@ 27 km depth) with epicenter located 388 km N from Namche Bazar (Nepal). It will have well felt in border area between Nepal and Tibet.
13:41 UTC (local time Saturday, January 05, 2013 at 09:41 PM @ epicenter) - M 4.4 light shallow earthquake in Island of Hawaii, Hawaii (@ 9 km depth) with epicenter located 16 km SSE from Fern Forest. Light shaking of MMI IV will have felt by the people of Hawaiian Acres, Hawaiian Paradise Park, Orchidlands Estates, Mountain View, Ainaloa and Hawaiian Beaches. People of Hilo, Kailua-Kona, Holualoa, Keaau, Pahoa, Volcano, Waimea and Kalaoa will have felt weak shaking of MMI II-III.
14:37 UTC (local time Saturday, January 05, 2013 at 04:37 AM @ epicenter) - M 3.7 light shallow earthquake in Serbia (@ 5 km depth) with epicenter located 3 km NW Kraljevo. Tremor will have felt as far as Kragujevac and Belgrade.
10:11 UTC (local time 11:11; 2013/01/05 @ epicenter) - M 4.8 moderate deep earthquake in Hindu Kush Region, Afghanistan (@ 114 km depth) with epicenter located 35 km SSW of Ashkasham. People of Jarm, Fayzabad, Ishkashim (Tajikistan) and Topi (Pakistan) will have felt just a weak shaking of MMI II-III.
04:32 UTC (local time Saturday, January 05, 2013 at 09:02 AM @ epicenter) - M 3.6 light shallow earthquake in Baja California, Mexico (@ 10 km depth) with epicenter located 20 km WNW from Guadalupe Victoria. It will have well felt by the people of Mexicali, Calexico and Tijuana.

- Flooding in Ampara, Sri Lanka
-Heavy rainfall caused flooding throughout the Eastern Province of Sri Lanka.
-Thousands of acres of paddy are also affected due to rains in the Ampara district.
-Cyclone also damaged thirty one houses in the Polonnaruwa District. Around 15 houses in Medirigiriya, Nagahapura,Senarathpura MInippuragama. and another 15 houses in Lankapura, Kaduriwela East, Batathuna village and one house in Palugasdamana were damaged.
-Residents of Peragirigama, Kataragama in Lanka experienced yellow rain!

-Eight climbers rescued and two are still missing in snowstorm on Mount Chokai on the border of Akita and Yamagata prefectures. - Floods killed 673 people and affected about 120 million in China in 2012. Officials of the State Flood Control and Drought Relief Headquarters said floods and droughts cost China 320.8 billion yuan (USD 51.49 billion) in direct economic losses from natural disasters in 2012.
