-One killed and 105 others injured in heavy storm in Sasolburg, Free State region of South Africa.
-Storm and heavy rainfall also affected 1,000 houses.
-Heavy rains struck Amelia township around 9pm on Tuesday.
-Sasolburg storm injuries ranged from minor to serious.

01:59 UTC; January 4, 2012 (local time Thursday, January 03, 2013 at 07:59 PM @ epicenter) - M 3.4 light shallow earthquake in Central California (@ 9 km depth) with epicenter located just 7 km ENE from Pinnacles. It will have well felt by the people of Soledad, Greenfield, King City, San Jose City Hall, Atascadero, Carmel, Paicines, Santa Cruz and Watsonville.
21:04 UTC (local time Thursday, January 03, 2013 at 01:04 PM @ epicenter) - M 4.8 moderate shallow earthquake in Hokkaido, Japan Region (@ 10 km depth) with epicenter located 52 km (32 miles) S of Makubetsu. Just a weak shaking will have felt by the people of Wakkanai, Nayoro and Rumoi.
11:14 UTC (local time Thursday, January 03, 2013 at 08:14 PM @ epicenter) - M 3.3 weak shallow earthquake n Romania (@ 5 km depth) with epicenter located 7 km NW Toplita. Weak tremor will have felt as far as Târgu-mures.
02:52 UTC (local time 04:52; 2013/01/03 @ epicenter) - M 5.4 moderate earthquake in Kepulauan Obi, Indonesia (@ 28 km depth) with epicenter located 39 km SW of Laiwui. It will have faintly felt by the peole of Ambon, Amahai and Kota Ternate.

- Flooding in Singida, Tanzania
-Heavy rainfall caused flooding in Singida region of Tanzania.
-Vehicles travelling northward to Mwanza and those heading for Dodoma, Morogoro and Dar es Salaam are stranded. - Flooding in Yorkshire, England
-A bridge collapsed in northern Yorkshire region of England.
-Two rescued people were carried to James Cook University Hospitalby air ambulance.

- Tropical Cyclone Dumile
-As of 01:00 UTC, TC Dumlie was located 200 nm north of La Reunion.
-Tropical storm Dumile is forecast to strike Reunion as a tropical cyclone today at about 18:00 GMT.
Update
- A Red alert is issued by the officials on the Indian Ocean island of Reunion. - Tropical Depression Auring
-Tropical depression caused heavy rainfall and flooding in dipolog region of Philippines.
-At least 90 families evacuated due to flooding in Dipolog City, Zamboanga del Norte.
-Auring is forecast to make a landfall in southern Palawan, and expected to affect the areas of Brook’s Point, Narra, Bataraza, Quezon, Rizal and Paborlan. - One man was killed and another was missing after Cyclone Freda hit New Caledonia. Multiples roads were blocked by landslides and flooding.

-A twister hit the Mayfield Golf Course near Ashburton, New Zealand. - Western Australia floods which hit the region before Christmas have officially been declared a natural disaster. Dozens of homes and business were flooded when storms caused 211mm of rain at Yourdamung and 157mm at Collie between December 11 and 13, 2012.
