-At least seven people have been killed in a landslide in Turkey. Landslide disaster hit a football pitch in Sirnak, Turkey.
-Landslide in Turkey also injured three others. One person is still said to be missing in the landslide.
-Heavy rainfall caused landslips in the Black Sea, Turkey in August 2012.

- M 4.8 moderate earthquake in Panama-Costa Rica Border Region (@ 30 km depth) with epicenter located 28 km N of Rio Sereno. Light to weak shaking will have felt by the people of Volcan, Buenos Aires and Changuinola.
20:20 UTC (local time Monday, January 28, 2013 at 03:20 PM @ epicenter) - M 4.5 moderate earthquake in Northwestern Iran (@ 10 km depth) with epicenter located 58 km NE from Tabriz. Light to weak shaking will have felt by the people of Ahar, Tabriz, Ardabil, Naxcivan (Azerbaijan) and Yerevan (Armenia).
19:38 UTC (local time Monday, January 28, 2013 at 11:08 PM @ epicenter) - M 6.0 strong shallow earthquake in Eastern Kazakhstan (@ 11 km depth) with epicenter located 227 km E Almaty. Light shaking of MMI IV will have felt by the people of Kegen, Tyup, Karakol, Aksu, Zharkent and Kyzyl-Suu. People of Kapchagai, Yesik, Aral, Talghar and Almaty will have felt weak shaking of MMI III.

16:38 UTC (local time Monday, January 28, 2013 at 10:38 PM @ epicenter) - M 2.5 weak shallow earthquake in Greater Los Angeles Area, California (@ 8 km depth) with epicenter located just 4 km SSE from Yorba Linda. It will have well felt by the people of Los Angeles, Carson, Chino Hills, Glendora, Ontario, Santa Ana, Anaheim, Brea, Orange, Corona and Yorba Linda.

- UK has predicted flooding in Devon, Somerset and south-east Wales. Heavy rain and strong winds warnings have been issued in these regions.

-As of 12:00 UTC, TC Felleng was located 500 nm north-northeast of La Reunion.
Natural Disaster News
- At least 86 families have been evacuated after landslide hit a village in Maco, Compostela Valley of Philippines. However no injury reported. Compostela Landslide in 2012 killed several people.
- Around 40-50 people were rescued from flood waters in Bear Canyon near Tucson, Arizona. All those were hikers trapped in floods after heavy rainfall.
- The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook tonight for northeast Oklahoma. Thunderstorms are expected in Tulsa.
- China has issued an orange alert for latest forest fires in the southwestern provinces of Sichuan and Yunnan.
- The great central U.S. shake out earthquake-preparedness drill will be held on February 7, 2013.
