-Around 25 people evacuated due to high tides and flooding in Aberdeenshire. Further 30 people were evacuated from properties in the Roanheads area.
-Heavy storm also damaged fishing boats in Wick.
-Flood alerts and warnings have been issued in 126 areas across the UK. - Wildfire in Valparaiso, Chile
-The Chilean National Emergency Office (Onemi) has issued a red alert in the Valparaíso region, due to a number of forest fires in Casablanca, Viña del Mar and Villa Alemana.
-Four fire brigades, two Dromader planes, a helicopter from Conaf, three fire departments, the Chilean police, local emergency staff, and one tanker truck are struggling to control the blaze.

19:30 UTC (local time Sunday, December 16, 2012 at 05:30 AM @ epicenter) - M 5.0 moderate shallow earthquake Off the Coast of El Salvador (@ 35 km depth) with epicenter located 128 km S of Puerto El Triunfo. People of Usulutan, San Rafael Oriente and Santiago de Maria.
12:43 UTC (local time Saturday, December 15, 2012 at 06:43 AM @ epicenter) - M 5.9 moderate harmless earthquake near Islands, Aleutian Islands, Alaska (@ 30 km depth) with epicenter located 44 km SSW of Shemya Island. Weak tremor will have felt as far as Adak (Alaska).
04:49 UTC (local time Friday, December 14, 2012 at 06:49 PM @ epicenter) - M 5.2 moderate earthquake near the East Coast of Honshu, Japan with epicenter located 29 km ESE of Namie. Light to weak shaking will have felt by the people of Iwaki, Funehiki, Miharu, Aizuwakamatsu, Chiba, Mito, Sendai, Tsuchiura, Yamagata and Tokyo.
