- Monster storm in Queensland, Australia
-Huge storm in Queensland, Australia caused heavy damage.
-More than 4000 lightning strikes within 80km of Brisbane in one hour.
-Brisbane, Redlands, North Stradbroke and parts of the Gold Coast Logan and Moreton Bay were worst affected by storms.
-About six-thousand homes and businesses in Brisbane are without power.
-Severe weather warning has been issued just after 8pm (AEDT) on Saturday for people living in the Northern Rivers, Northern Tablelands and parts of the North West Slopes and Plains.
-Very heavy rain and flash flooding, large hail, damaging winds gusts and occasionally tornadoes are common during Supercells (Photo: Damage caused by Brisbane storm; Westside news).

05:12 UTC (local time Friday, November 16, 2012 at 06:12 PM @ epicenter) - M 3.0 weak shallow earthquake in Oklahoma (@ 5 km depth) with epicenter 20 km W of Perry. It will have well felt by the people of Enid, Guthrie, Stillwater, Harrah, Tonkawa and Oklahoma City.
04:49 UTC (local time Friday, November 16, 2012 at 10:49 PM @ epicenter) - M 4.7 moderate deep earthquake in Costa Rica (@ 172 km depth) with epicenter located 15 km ESE of Upala. Just a weak shaking of MMI II-III will have felt by the people of San Jose, San Carlos and Canas.
04:35 UTC (local time Friday, November 16, 2012 at 10:35 PM @ epicenter) - M 5.7 moderate earthquake in Vanuatu (@ 128 km depth) with epicenter located 35 km E of Port-Olry. Light shaking of MMI IV will have felt by the people of Port-Olry, Norsup and Luganville. People of Sola will have weak shaking of MMI III.

-Several people in Alhaurín de la Torre, Antequera and Cártama evacuated.

-NASA spacecraft captured a glowing red plasma shoot out from the sun on November 16.
-The prominences was so large, it expanded beyond the camera view of NASA's Solar Dynamics Observatory (SDO). However the solar prominence didn't appear to be aimed at Earth.
-The sun is currently in the middle of an active phase of its 11-year solar weather cycle which is called Solar Cycle 24 and is expected to peak in 2013.
