- Wildfires in Central Java, East Kalimantan of Indonesia
-Fire burned more than 500 hectares of forests in Karanganyar, Central Java. In West Kutai, East Kalimantan fire burned more than 1,500 hectares.
-Melalan Sendawar Airport cancelled several flights to Samarinda and Balikpapan because of the haze.
-All hiking routes in Mount Lawu temporarily closed.

23:53 UTC (local time Friday, September 28, 2012 at 10:53 AM @ epicenter) - M 4.5 moderate deep earthquake in Guatemala (@ 229 km depth) with epicenter located just below San Juan Atitan. It will have faintly felt by the people of Huehuetenango, Jacaltenango and Cabrican.
13:14 UTC (local time Thursday, September 27, 2012 at 07:14 AM @ epicenter) - M 4.0 light shallow earthquake in Gulf of California (@ 10 km depth) with epicenter located 32 km NNE of La Paz (Mexico). Classes were suspended and thousands of tourists were evacuated after magnitude 6.2 earthquake hit La Paz, Mexico some days ago.
11:24 UTC (local time Thursday, September 27, 2012 at 05:24 AM @ epicenter) - M 4.7 moderate deep earthquake in Jujuy, Argentina (@ 190 km depth) with epicenter located 99 km W of El Aguilar. Just a weak shaing of MMI II will have felt by the people of Humahuaca and La Quiaca.
01:36 UTC (local time Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at 10:36:29 PM at epicenter) - M 4.7 moderate shallow earthquake in Southern Italy (@ 5 km depth) with epicenter located just 2 km N of Montecalvo Irpino. Light shaking of MMI IV will have felt by the people of Ariano Irpino, Pietrelcina and Benevento. People of Campobasso and Montesarchio will have felt weak shaking of MMI III.
01:08 UTC (local time Thursday, September 27, 2012 at 03:08 AM @ epicenter) - M 4.5 moderate shallow earthquake in Northwestern Iran (@ 10 km depth) with epicenter located 32 km WSW of Ahar. Light to weak shaking will have felt by the people of Tabriz, Marand and Kapan.

-York is suffering one of its worst ever floods, with the River Ouse at its second highest level.
- The water level peaked in York at 5.06m above the normal level. It is further expected to peak mid-morning in Cawood and Selby.

-Miriam is moving toward the north-northwest near 7 mph and weakening fast over cold water. - Tropical Storm Nadine
-As of 03:00 UTC, Ts Nadine was located Tropical Storm Nadine.
-Nadine is moving toward the southwest near 6 mph. No threat to land. - Tropical Storm Ewiniar
-As of 03:00 UTC, TS Ewiniar was located 345 nm south-southeast of yokosuka, Japan.

-Avalanche reported at skifield near New Zealand's Queenstown.
-The avalanche is about 1.5 metres high, 80m wide and 100 to 120m long.
