- Landslide in Syanga, Nepal
-Four killed in landslide in Chandi Bhanjyang VDC-7, Dharadi, Syanja district of Nepal.
-Landslide occurred when people were sleeping. All four fatalities belongs to same family.
-Heavy rainfall from past three days caused landslide disaster. Landslide also blocked several roads in Palpa, Gulmi, Syangja and Arghakhanchi.
-In Dogadi VDC of Bajura also, at least 75 families displaced due to fear of landslide.

- M 4.5 moderate earthquake in Costa Rica (@ 44 km depth) with epicenter located just 10 km SSW of Samara. It will have well felt by the people of Nicoya, Santa Cruz and Puntarenas.
19:10 UTC (loal time Tuesday, September 18, 2012 at 01:10 PM @ epicenter) - M 2.4 minor earthquake in Denmark (@ 1 km depth) with epicenter located 24 km NE Skagen. Just a weak shaking will have felt by the people of Frederikshavn and Göteborg.
16:30 UTC (local time 18:30; 2012/09/18 @ epicenter) - M 4.7 moderate earthquake in San Juan, Argentina (@ 65 km depth) with epicenter located 58 km SW of Zonda. Just a weak shaking of MMI II-III will have felt by the people of Pocito, San Juan and Santa Lucia.
03:53 UTC (local time Tuesday, September 18, 2012 at 12:53:32 AM @ epicenter) - M 5.5 moderate earthquake in Kodiak Island Region, Alaska (@ 53 km depth) with epicenter located 56 km SSW of Larsen Bay. Populated area is 500+ km far from the epicenter.

- Flash floods in Himachal, India
-Around 13 houses destroyed in flash flood in Barot area (Uhl river) caused by a cloudburst.
-Floods also washed away several vehicles. However no injury reported.

-Soputan volcano spewed ash and smoke nearly 1 mile in the sky.
-No evacuation order issued. It last erupted in July last year.
Recent Tropical Cyclones
- Typhoon Sanba
-Two killed and about 560 people became homeless by landslide in South Korea.
-More than 3,700 homes and shops in South Korea are still without power.
-Flooding also reported in Vladivostok, Russia. - Tropical Storm Nadine
-As of 03:00 UTC, TS Nadine was located 790 km WSW of the Azores.
-Nadine is moving toward the northeast near 9 mph. Currently no threat to land. - Hurricane Lane
-As of 03:00 UTC, Hurricane Lane was located 1895 km WSW of the southern tip of Baja California.
-Lane is a category one hurricane on the Saffir-Simpson hurricane wind scale and expected to weaken late today. No threat to land.
