  • M 4.6 moderate shallow earthquake in Northern Algeria (@ 10 km depth) with epicenter located just 7 km NW Burj bu arririj. Light shaking of MMI IV will have felt by the people of  Al-air and Burj bu arririj. Weak shaking will have felt as far as Algiers.

  • M 4.7 moderate shallow earthquake in Timor region, Indonesia (@ 16 km depth) with epicenter located 26 km SE of Kupang. Light shaking of MMI IV will have felt by the people of Kupang. People of Soe will have exprienced a weak shaking of MMI II-III.

    -Two more dead bodies found today, making death toll at six so far. Two bodies were found floating in Waimanu River.

  • Powerful Cyclone in Moscow, Russia
    -A powerful cyclonic whirl hit the capital city at the speed of 50 km/hr
    -Heavy snowfall reported in Moscow
    -Severe Snowstorm forecast in far eastern Sakhalin Island.

Natural Disaster News
  • Thunderstorm and lightning killed three people in Eastern Nepal. One killed in Biratnagar whose house was burned during lightning. Two other reported to be killed in Paraswati, Saptari district of Nepal.
