No any people reporting from Santa Cruz, may be due to less inhabitants in that area BUT strong jolt is felt in Santa Cruz, Chile which is 25 km far.

Well felt in Santiago city of Metropolitana region.

Today M 5.4 strong earthquake rattle Chile. The epicenter of this quake is located just below Santa Cruz, Chile. Though Santa Cruz is less populated (33,283 pop.) area located 25 km South from epicenter, it will be well felt in Curicó (pop 102,438), Chile. Valparaiso, Chile is at a safe distance of 198 km far from the epicenter area. The earlier Earthquake in Valparaiso, Chile was of magnitude 5.3 which didn't cause any damage.
It is the time when people were on their bed! It is 180 km SSW from SANTIAGO, Chile. People in Santiago, Chile seems to be little panic.
