Tragic Landslide in Pokhara Kills 11 Amid Incessant Rainfall

July 12, 2024: Landslides triggered by continuous heavy rainfall have claimed the lives of 11 people in Kaski district, Nepal. 

The tragic landslide occurred late Thursday night at around 10:15 PM, specifically affecting ward 19 of Pokhara Metropolitan City. Among the victims were seven members of the same family who were buried alive as the landslide engulfed their home. 

Early this morning, a landslide along the Mugling-Narayanghat road section swept two passenger buses into the Trishuli River in the Simaltal area of Chitwan district of Nepal.
