Herold Cyclone Update: Mauritius on cyclone warning class II

March 17, 2020: A cyclone warning Class II is in force in Mauritius following Tropical Cyclone Herold.

At 4:00 p.m., Tropical Cyclone Herold was centered approximately 190 km west southwest of Rodrigues. Tropical cyclone Herold will continue to track towards the South East at about 35 km/h.

The Mauritius Meteorological Services has issued a class III cyclone warning for Rodrigues.

Tropical Cyclone Herold caused severe flooding in Madagascar. In Maroantsetra, more than 3 095 people were affected by the recent flooding.
