Mirpur Earthquake 2019: Death toll reaches 37 in Pakistan

September 24, 2019: Magnitude 5.6 earthquake in Pakistan has claimed lives of  atleast 37 people and caused severe damage in Mirpur district, injuring a further 300.

According to the United States Geological Survey (USGS), the earthquake's epicenter was located 33 km far from Bhimbar, Azad Kashmir, Pakistan. The earthquake occurred at a depth of 10km.

The earthquake split open roads in an area between the towns of Jhelum and Mirpur to the north.
