March 3, 2019: A small earthquake of magnitude 2.2 rattled Salmon Arm, a city in the Shuswap Country of the Southern Interior of the Canadian province of British Columbia at 11:23 p.m. PST today.
According to the Earthquakes Canada, the earthquake occurred at an estimated depth of 1 km with epicenter located 4 km NE of Salmon Arm.
Columbia Shuswap Regional District (CSRD) mentioned via twitter that "it appears there is no immediate emergency or threat to public safety in the Salmon Arm area."
The tremor was felt from Sicamous to Tappen.
