March 8, 2019: Magnitude 6.2 strong earthquake rattled Surigao Del Norte today at 11:00 pm, Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) reported.
According to the (PHIVOLCS), the earthquake was of tectonic origin and occured a depth of 16 kilometers with epicenter north of Siargao Island in Surigao del Norte and east of Dinagat Island.
No damage or injuries have been reported.
