M4.1 earthquake hits Chitlang today - Nepal Seismological Center

March 18, 2019: Magnitude 4.1 earthquake rattled Chitlang today at 09:01 am, Nepal Seismological Center reported.

According to the Nepal Seismological Center, the earthquake occurred at a shallow depth of 10km.

The epicenter was located near Indreni Mushroom Resort Chitlang, Makwanpur. 

The tremor was also felt in Kathmandu and the surrounding areas. The tremor lasted for 2-3 seconds.

No preliminary damage or injuries have been reported.

Last month, magnitude 4.0 earthquake was recorded in Kirtipur. The earthquake was widely across Kathmandu valley.
