June 4, 2017: An earthquake tremor has been felt in Goa today. The tremor was the result of magnitude 4.8 earthquake with its epicenter located in Maharashtra's Koyna region of India.
The tremor was well felt at Porvorim, Old Goa and Margao. The earthquake occurred at 11:44 pm at a shallow depth of 10 km.
The earthquake was felt in Pune, Kolhapur, Belgaum, Hubli, Koyna, Dharwad and Sangli.
No preliminary damage or injuries have been reported.
