December 6, 2016: Severe rainfall caused the worst flooding in Spain in nearly 30 years prompting the meteorological service to issue a 'red alert', the highest level of warning for extreme risk.
Recent floods have claimed the lives of at least two people and killed around 200 animals in Malaga.
According to a spokeswoman for Malaga's local government, a 26-year-old-woman was found dead in the town of Estepona on Spain's Costa del Sol.
Another person died after his car was swept away in flash floods on the outskirts of La Linea.
"The rain has been the worst to hit the country since 1989 and has caused the Spanish government to issue public safety warnings," Express reported.
