Locals have been asked to stay alert after a massive landslide blocked Tamor River at Malbase Mitlung in Sawadin-1 of Taplejung district on Sunday.
Titlung Bazaar and Handung of Phurumba VDC and Siwa Bazaar have been badly affected due to the blockage of the river, The Himalayan Times reported quoting the Eastern Regional Police Office, Biratnagar.
Personnel from the Nepal Army and Nepal Police have been deployed at the disaster area.
